General Staff reports 182 combat engagements on frontline in past 24 hours, heaviest fighting in Pokrovsk sector

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, citing operational information as of 8:00 on Wednesday, October 15, according to Ukrinform.

“A total of 182 combat engagements were recorded yesterday,” the statement said.

According to the General Staff, the enemy carried out one missile strike with a rocket, 101 airstrikes dropping 225 guided bombs, 4,429 artillery strikes, including 85 from multiple launch rocket systems, and launched 5,256 kamikaze drones.

Russian aviation targeted settlements including Novoandriivka, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia region and Olhivka in Kherson region.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, five clashes occurred. The Russians carried out 12 airstrikes, launched 32 rockets, dropped 28 guided bombs, and conducted 164 artillery strikes, including five with MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, 16 clashes were recorded near Vovchansk, Kamianka, Zapadne, Kutkivka, Kolodiazne, and Bolohivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Russians carried out nine attacks; Ukrainian forces repelled assaults near Pishchane, Kupiansk, and toward Petropavlivka and Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched 11 attacks, trying to advance toward Lyman and Drobysheve, near Srednie, Shandryholove, Torske, and Kolodiazi.

In the Sloviansk sector, six Russian attacks were repelled near Yampil, Pereizne, Vyimka, Hryhorivka, and Fedorivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, two clashes occurred near Stupochky and Orikhovo-Vasylivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces carried out 14 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Berestka, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Toretsk, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 69 enemy assaults near Volodymyrivka, Nove Shakhove, Nikanorivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Sukhetske, Dachne, Mykhailivka, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Myrnohrad, Udachne, Molodetske, Horikhove, Novoukrainka, Filiia, and toward Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka.

In the Oleksandrohrad sector, 26 attacks Russian attacks were repelled near Ivanivka, Oleksandrohrad, Vorone, Verbove, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Zelenyi Hai, Maliivka, Yalta, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Novomykolaivka, Poltavka, and toward Krasnohirsk.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russians launched five attacks near Stepove, Plavni, and Stepnohirsk.

In the Huliaipole and Prydniprovske sectors, no enemy assaults were recorded.

In response, Ukrainian aviation, missile, and artillery units struck six clusters of enemy troops, a UAV command post, an air defense system, and two other critical targets.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian forces in the war against Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to October 15, 2025, amount to approximately 1,126,220 personnel, including 1,070 over the past 24 hours.
