In Poland’s Lublin Voivodeship, near the border with Ukraine, a man discovered debris believed to be from a UAV in a forest.

The Lublin Voivodeship police reported this on social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.

“Today around 13:00, in the town of Żelizna, Radzyń county, a man noticed parts of an object resembling a drone while walking in the forest. Police officers from the Radzyń police station are securing the area. We have notified the appropriate services, including the Military Police in Biała Podlaska and the District Prosecutor's Office in Radzyń Podlaski,” the statement said.

According to RMF24, a damaged drone was found at the site, including its fuselage and engine. Local police told the outlet that the UAV is not used for smuggling contraband.

At present, the relevant services are determining how the drone ended up in the forest. The case will be transferred to the Military Affairs Division of the District Prosecutor's Office in Lublin.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, on the night of September 10, Poland’s airspace was massively violated by Russian drones. Following that incident, pro-Russian actors in Polish social media actively spread the narrative that the attack was carried out by Ukraine, not by Russia.
