Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the confirmed losses of Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion amount to 55,000 fallen soldiers.

According to Ukrinform, citing Radio Free Europe, he disclosed this figure in an interview with the French television channel France 2.

"In Ukraine, officially on the battlefield, the number of fallen soldiers, whether career servicemen or those who were mobilized, stands at 55,000," Zelensky said.

He added that there is also "a large number of people whom Ukraine considers missing in action."

As Ukrinform previously reported, in February last year Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan that during the full-scale invasion 45,100 servicemen had been killed and 390,000 had been wounded.
