Six explosives producers to receive over UAH 900M in grants – Fedorov

According to Ukrinform, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced this during the Brave1 Advantage defense tech event.

"More than a year ago, we started working on the idea of launching a competition [for explosives manufacturers]. This is essentially about opening a new niche in Ukraine and turning Ukraine into a player in the global explosives market. Today I would like to announce that we will sign nearly one billion hryvnias in non-repayable grants for six winners," Fedorov said.

He noted that 42 companies participated in the selection process. Applicants had to demonstrate the ability to produce and scale up manufacturing. As a result, six companies will receive over UAH 900 million in non-repayable funding for the development of this sector.

Fedorov clarified that the funding will go toward "new modern laboratories and new factories operating under new rules that can be rapidly scaled."

"Today is an important day because we have opened another niche that in a year or two will make Ukrainians a player in this field," he added.
