A group of drones struck an oil refinery and a Wildberries logistics center in Bashkortostan, Russia, on the morning of Thursday, August 13.

According to Ukrinform, the ASTRA Telegram channel published the report.

According to ASTRA analysts, the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refinery in Bashkortostan caught fire following the UAV attack.

Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat is one of Russia's largest oil refining and petrochemical complexes.

In 2024, the facility processed approximately 7.2 million tonnes of oil, accounting for about 2.7% of Russia's total oil refining volume.

In September 2025, Ukrainian drones attacked the refinery twice, on September 18 and September 24. The September 24 attack damaged the AVT-6 primary crude oil processing unit.

Following a UAV attack on July 14 this year, the refinery suspended operations.

As Ukrinform reported, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck an oil refinery in Russia's Orenburg region on the night of August 11.
