Ukraine’s Air Force launches 28 strikes on enemy positions

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, January 20, published on Facebook.

"Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched nine missile strikes, 23 airstrikes, and more than 80 MLRS attacks. There is an increased threat of airstrikes and missile strikes on civilian objects throughout the territory of Ukraine," the report reads.

The enemy focuses its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions. In Kupyansk, Lyman, Novopavlivka, and Kherson directions, the Russians defend themselves.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian troops repelled the enemy attacks in the areas of Novoselivske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Verkhniokamyanske, Krasnopolivka, Soledar, Krasna Hora, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Dyliivka, Vodiane, Marinka, Pobeda, Novosilka in Donetsk region; Mala Tokmachka and Stepove in Zaporizhzhia region.

No enemy offensive groups were detected in Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions. However, Russia is building up its aviation group in Belarus under the guise of joint exercises. The enemy fired artillery on the areas of Timofiyivka in Sumy region; Veterynarne, Strilecha, Zelene, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Vilcha, Budarky, Krasne Pershe, Dvorichna, and Kupyansk in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the areas of Tavilzhanka, Vilshana, Orlianske, Kupyansk, Krokhmalne, Pishchane, Berestove, Stelmakhivka, and Vyshneve in Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in Luhansk region were struck.

In Lyman direction, the enemy hit Novoyehorivka, Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Chervonopopivka, Kreminna, Dibrova, and Serebryanskie forestry in Luhansk region.

In Bakhmut direction, Verkhniokamyanske, Vyimka, Bilohorivka, Soledar, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka and Mayorsk in Donetsk region came under the fire.

In Avdiivka direction, Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Vesele, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region were struck.

In Novopavlivka direction, the enemy hit Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, and Neskuchne in Donetsk region.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, more than 20 settlements came under tank, mortar, and artillery fire, in particular, Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk region, Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaypole, Charivne, Bilohirya, Orikhiv, Mali Shcherbaky, and Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region.

In Kherson direction, the occupiers shelled, in particular, Kachkarivka, Respublikanets, Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Novotiahynka, Tokarivka, Inhulets, Kherson, Blahovishchenske and Rozlyv.

“Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force launched 21 strikes on enemy clusters and seven more on the positions of its anti-aircraft missile systems. Our soldiers also destroyed three Lancet-3 UAVs. The missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit six enemy command posts, eight clusters, and an ammunition depot," the General Staff informs.
