Zelensky, Stubb meet with Finnish defense companies executives

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Finland Alexander Stubb held a meeting with executives of Finnish companies in the defense industry, mining, energy, and telecommunications sectors.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported on the official website of the Ukrainian President.

The head of state thanked Finnish companies for their support of Ukraine during Russia's full-scale invasion. Zelensky emphasized that Finland’s experience in the defense industry is of great importance for Ukrainian weapons production.

The key topic of the meeting was expanding cooperation to strengthen the production capacities of both Ukraine’s and Finland’s defense sectors. In particular, they discussed high-level support for collaboration.

Additionally, they discussed the exchange of expertise between Ukrainian and Finnish companies.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine's Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin, previously discussed with Finland's Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen the prospects of Finnish companies opening production facilities in Ukraine.
