სამეგრელო / Samegrelo

სამეგრელო მდებარეობს დასავლეთ საქართველოს ცენტრალურ ნაწილში მდინარე რიონის, ენგურის, ცხენისწყლისა და შავი ზღვის შუა, კოლხეთის დაბლობზე, კავკასიონის ქედის მთისწინა და ნაწილობრივ მთის ზოლში. რეგიონის ადმინისტრაციული ცენტრია ქალაქი ზუგდიდი.

ანტიკურ ხანაში სამეგრელო კოლხეთის სამეფოს ნაწილს წარმოადგენდა. კოლხეთი მთლიანად მოიცავდა დღევანდელი დასავლეთ საქართველოს ტერიტორიას. თანამედროვე ეპოქამდე ამ რეგიონს ლაზიკისა და ეგრისის სახელწოდებებითაც იცნობდნენ, მისი პოლიტიკური ცენტრი არქეოპოლისი (ან ნოქალაქევი) იყო. სწორედ ნოქალაქევს უკავშირდება არგონავტებისა და ოქროს საწმისის მითი.

ბევრ მოგზაურს აღუნიშნავს მეგრელთა აღნაგობა და სილამაზე.

უძველესი ნამოსახლარები, უნიკალური ტაძრები და ციხესიმაგრეები სამეგრელოზე საოცარ ისტორიებსა თუ მითებს გვიამბობენ და ამით ლეგენდასა და რეალობას შორის ზღვარიც ქრება. ეს მხარე ნამდვილი ოაზისია უალამაზესი ხეობებით, ჩანჩქერებით, დაბლობით, ალპური ტბებითა და ბევრი მომაჯადოებელი მღვიმით. კლდეებში ნატვრისთვალივით ჩაბნეული ტობავარჩხილი დაუვიწყარ შთაბეჭდილებას ახდენს მნახველზე.

სამეგრელოში მდებარეობს ენდემური სახეობებით მდიდარი კოლხეთის ეროვნული ნაკრძალიც.

Samegrelo is located in the central part of western Georgia, between the rivers Rioni, Enguri, Tskhenistskali and the Black Sea, on the Kolkheti lowland, on the Caucasus Range, partly on the mountain line. The administrative center of the region is the city of Zugdidi.

In ancient times, Samegrelo was a part of the Kingdom of Colchis. Colchis completely covered the territory of present-day western part of Georgia. Prior to the modern era, the region was also known as Lazika and Egrisi. Its political center was Archeopolis (or Nokalakevi). The myth of the Argonauts and the Golden Fleece is related to Nokalakevi.

Many travelers note the beauty of Megrelians.

Georgia is very rich in landscapes, marvelous nature or centuries - old cultural monuments, and in this diversity, Samegrelo truly takes an honorable place. Ancient settlements, unique temples, and fortresses tell wonderful stories or myths, and the limit between legend and reality disappears. This region is a true oasis with beautiful valleys, waterfalls, lowlands or alpine lakes and many fascinating caves. Tobavarchkhili, which is tucked into the rocks creates an unforgettable impression for all visitors. Kolkheti National Reserve, rich in endemic species is also located in Samegrelo.
