Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has held talks with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu as part of his working visit to Antalya.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's press service announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

According to the report, Kuleba informed Cavusoglu about the current situation with the Russian invasion of Ukraine, war crimes and targeted shelling by Russian troops of civilian objects in Ukrainian cities, killing civilians, including children.

Both ministers discussed steps to end Russia's hostilities and war on Ukrainian territory. In this context, Kuleba thanked Cavusoglu for the initiative to organize a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Kuleba outlined three key issues he would insist on at the trilateral meeting with Lavrov. These include an immediate ceasefire, an improvement in the humanitarian situation in Mariupol, Kharkiv, Sumy, Volnovakha and other Ukrainian cities, and the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.

The Ukrainian minister called on Turkey to continue working with Moscow to stop the bloodshed in Ukraine.

As was reported earlier, a trilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Turkey and Russia will take place as part of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum on March 10.

On February 24, Russian President Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure, residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, MLRS and ballistic missiles.
