U.S. President Joe Biden will discuss the deployment of peacekeepers in Ukraine during his visit to Poland on March 25.

U.S. Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield made a corresponding announcement, Ukrinform reports.

She noted that the United States was not going to send troops to Ukraine but would support its NATO allies in case of an attack on them.

“I can’t preview what decisions will be made at this NATO conference and how NATO will respond to the Polish proposal [to deploy peacekeepers in Ukraine]. What I can say is American troops will not be on the ground in Ukraine at this moment. The President has been clear on that, and other NATO countries may decide that they want to put troops inside of Ukraine. That will be a decision that they have to make,” Thomas-Greenfield stressed.

Russia’s large-scale invasion of Ukraine has been going on since February 24. The aggressor shells and destroys key infrastructure, residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns and villages using artillery, multiple-launch rocket systems, and ballistic missiles.
