Since the war began, the number of Ukrainians fleeing abroad has reached 3,528,346.

According to Reuters, the relevant informed was provided by the United Nations’ Refugee Agency (UNHCR), Ukrinform reports.

Of this number, more than 2 million Ukrainian crossed the border into Poland.

The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in its report said  that many people fleeing Ukraine are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

“In the absence of documented evidence of prior vaccination, eligible children and adults from Ukraine should be offered a primary vaccination course against COVID-19 as well as a booster dose, but elderly, pregnant women, the immunocompromised and individuals with underlying conditions at higher risk of severe disease should be prioritized,” the report explains.

As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
