The mine barriers placed around the city of Kryvyi Rih have already proven their efficiency, as one of Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) exploded on a mine, when driving a car across the field.

The relevant statement was made by Kryvyi Rih City Council, referring to the city’s territorial defense forces, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The [Russian] occupation troops, which have been stopped by the Armed Forces of Ukraine far from Kryvyi Rih, are attempting to get closer to the city in small groups, as well as send reconnaissance groups by cars seized from local residents within the occupied area. All such attempts are being successfully stopped at the moment. The mine barriers, placed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are playing an effective role in defense terms. At dawn, a car with the enemy SRG and weapons exploded on one of such barriers. The documents found in the car are being investigated,” the report states.

According to Alla Nikitska, the representative of Kryvyi Rih’s territorial defense forces, due to massive mining operations aimed at preventing the enemy from approaching the city, all local residents in Kryvyi Rih and Kryvyi Rih District must strictly follow the rules of movement outside settlements.
