President Volodymyr Zelensky has underscored that Ukraine highly appreciates the support of the European Parliament and expressed gratitude for the visit of its President to Kyiv.

"I sincerely want to thank you personally, Roberta, and your entire team for being here at such an important moment for our state. Today is an important moment when Ukrainians believe in deeds and concrete steps. At this moment, you are showing heroism. Now it is heroic to come to Ukraine," Zelensky said at a meeting with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the arrival of international partners at a time when Ukrainians are defending their country is an important step in support of the Ukrainian people.

The President also expressed gratitude for all the support provided by Ukraine at the level of the European Parliament.

"We appreciate all these steps. Today we look at everything through the prism of "friends and not friends" because we have no time, no balance. There is no longer grey zone for us in international diplomacy because the question of survival is acute. I'm glad that you are on the side of light and good in relation to Ukraine," the Head of State told the President of the European Parliament.

As Ukrinform reported, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola is on a visit to Kyiv on April 1. In particular, Metsola took part in a plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
