Almost 1,200 civilians have been evacuated from Luhansk region today, April 5.

Head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

In particular, 235 residents were evacuated from Severodonetsk - 60 were taken to the train station in Novozolotarivka, another 175 - to Sloviansk. As many as 622 people left Lysychansk: 205 were carried by bus to Dnipro, another 417 - by train from Novozolotarivka.

In addition, 315 residents of Kreminna and 15 residents of Rubizhne were evacuated, another five residents of Rubizhne left in their own cars.

As reported, on April 4, over 1,000 civilians were evacuated from dangerous settlements in Luhansk region, which are constantly shelled by Russian invaders.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers and ballistic missiles.
