Ukraine received 177 power generators from the United Kingdom to maintain stable energy supply.

“Ukraine received the second batch of mobile power generators, provided by the United Kingdom to maintain stable energy supply in our country. The first batch, 21 generators, arrived earlier,” the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine informs.

In total, the United Kingdom pledged to transfer more than 500 portable power generators which will be used by both public and commercial energy companies to ensure sustainable electricity supply to social facilities, homes, and businesses.

Generators will be a backup power source in case of power outage due to enemy attacks on power grids and equipment.

"I am sincerely grateful personally to Kwasi Kwarteng [Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy of the United Kingdom] and to the entire British government and companies for providing this important assistance. One of our main tasks is to provide our citizens, business, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a stable energy supply. At a time when the Russian occupiers are destroying our power grids and critical energy infrastructure, these power generators will be an additional guarantee of reliable energy supply for Ukrainians," said Energy Minister of Ukraine German Galushchenko.

The next batches of mobile generators are expected to arrive from the UK in the near future.
