It is extremely difficult to draw any definite conclusions at this stage of the war, but it’s safe to say that the Armed Forces down many more Russian missiles than actually hit the targets.

That’s according to Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar, who spoke on national television, responding to a question of how Ukraine’s positions changed after Russia’s Black Sea fleet flagship, the Moskva Cruiser, was destroyed.

"Russia is continuing to block sea areas, blocking both reconnaissance and navigation, destroying other nations’ vessels. Therefore, it is necessary to understand that it is extremely difficult to draw any final conclusions at a time when the hot phase of war is going on, to say which forces are winning or prevailing. But what can be said unequivocally today, if we compare what Russia has accomplished and what the Ukrainian Armed Forces have stopped and prevented, the advantage is certainly on the side of our Armed Forces. And despite the fact that every missile strike the Russian army launches is extremely painful for us, less so, many more missile strikes have been prevented," Maliar said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Moskva Cruiser has sustained significant damage as a result of a Ukrainian Neptune cruise missile strike. The Russian Defense Ministry later confirmed that the vessel sank while being tugged to the port for repairs after a major explosion and fire that broke out onboard the warship.
