Ukraine’s Armed Forces repulse assault on Sievierodonetsk

This is stated in the consolidated report of the military-civil administrations on the situation in the regions of Ukraine as of 08:00 on May 22.

In Kherson region, the situation is stable and difficult throughout the region. Explosions and shelling were heard in all areas last night. The information from the residents of the territorial communities about the mining of bridges and roads by which the residents of Kherson region try to leave for the Ukraine-controlled territory is confirmed. There is no water, electricity, gas supplies in the localities of Vysokopillia, Stanislav, Kalynivka, Novovorontsovska, Velyka Oleksandrivka territorial communities which border the neighboring regions and are located on the front line.

At about 02:00, three enemy missiles hit the village near Zaporizhzhia. Details and consequences are being clarified.

In Kharkiv, single shellings were heard at night, no one was injured. Over the past day, eight people were wounded in the Russian shelling of Kharkiv region.

The situation in Luhansk region remains tense. One person was killed and two more were injured. The enemy assaulted Sievierodonetsk from four sides at once but received a decent rebuff and retreated to previous positions. Russian troops conduct round-the-clock artillery and mortar shelling of residential neighborhoods. In Sievierodonetsk, seven houses were damaged over the past day. Moreover, houses were damaged in Lysychansk, Toshkivka, Nyrkovo, Vrubivka, Hirske, Zolote, and Pryvillia. A span of the bridge near the railway station between Sievierodonetsk and Lysychansk was destroyed.

In Donetsk region, the aggressor fired small arms, tanks, artillery, mortars, aviation, Grad MLRS 16 times from 11 settlements over the past day.

The intensity of shelling near Soledar, Sviatohirsk, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Mykolayivka, and Toretsk increased. Fighting continues in the area of ​​ Lyman and Raihorodok. Over the past day, seven people were killed and 10 more were injured in the region.

In Mykolayiv region, Russians fired at Shyroke community at night. Three houses burned down as a result of direct hits. There are no victims. Yesterday afternoon, tonight and now the Russians shell Bereznehuvate community. There are no reports of casualties or damage. At night, Mykolayiv city came under fire. Five people were injured.

At the same time, the night passed relatively calmly in Volyn, Zakarpattia, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Ternopil, Lviv, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions.
