Sievierodonetsk authorities prepare evacuation routes but trust in Ukraine Army

The relevant statement was made by Luhansk Regional Military Administration on Telegram, referring to Sievierodonetsk Military and Civil Administration Head Oleksandr Striuk, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We are preparing evacuation routes for a humanitarian aid hub and volunteers working there. Of course, we are expecting this, but we hope, and trust in our Armed Forces, that the city will endure,” Striuk told.

In his words, battles had already been raging on the outskirts of Sievierodonetsk, but Ukrainian forces managed to stop the advance group of Russian troops.

According to Striuk, Russians are continuously shelling Sievierodonetsk’s largest enterprise Azot. Casualties among civilians were reported, namely the employees of the enterprise.

Striuk stressed that Russian troops are outnumbering Ukrainian forces, but the Ukrainian military continue to defend the city.
